Kenny & Ziggy’s New York Delicatessen
Restaurant & Bakery

Since its humble start in 1999, Kenny & Ziggy’s New York Delicatessen Restaurant and Bakery has made it a mission to give Houstonians the ultimate dining experience by combining traditional New York deli food with contemporary cuisine. Of course, it's in owner Ziggy Gruber’s blood being he is a third generation deli man and his grandfather opened the first Jewish deli on Broadway in New York City back in the 1920s.

While the mission hasn't changed, its address did three years ago when it moved a few blocks north of its original location into a space almost twice the size. Fans followed and also doubled! For 27 years, Kenny & Ziggy’s has been teaching Texas about all things deli and had the most willing students.

Endlessly believing the deli world is a wonderful place that should never be lost, Ziggy took it on himself 11 years ago to start National Deli Month – which expanded into Canada as well.
